Bio

Bruno Vieira obtained his J.D. in 2010, defending his thesis on Predatory Prices in Brazil. 2014 he received his LLM. for his thesis on the Efficiency of Incentive Regulation in the Brazilian Electric Power Industry. Bruno is currently an External PhD Candidate at Maastricht University researching on Law and Evolution and a lecturer at the Private, Business, and Labour Law Department at Tilburg Law School.

 

Expertise

Bruno Vieira is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association’s Committee on Antitrust Law.

From September to December 2023, he was a Sutherland Doctoral Fellow at the University College Dublin. He is also a member of the Maastricht European Private Law Institute M-EPLI. In 2021, I was also the Academic Director and associated with the Centro de Pesquisa em Direito, Tecnologia e Inovação – DTIBR (Research Centre on Law, Technology and Innovation) in Brazil and from 2021 to 2022, a Research Associate at the Blockchain for Society Group at Utrecht University.
His primary areas of interest are Law and Evolution, European Contract Law, Company Law, Antitrust Law and Regulation, and Law and Technology.
